BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -- Broken Arrow's annual Rooster Day's Festival is in full swing at Central Park, 1500 S. Main Street. The 80th Anniversary is Oklahoma's oldest festival, according to the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce.
Saturday kicked off with the annual parade with kids lining the streets for candy. Six in the Morning Anchor LeAnne Taylor represented The News On 6 in the parade this year.
Food, music and amusement rides make the event fun for the whole family. There's indoor arts and crafts and a petting zoo as well.

Rooster Days started in 1931, when there was a thriving poultry industry in the one-time rural community. Now there are fewer chickens but the celebration continues with bands and a carnival.
Performances continue through 11 p.m. Saturday and start off again at 1 p.m. Sunday.
