Tornadoes Confirmed After Wednesday's Severe Weather In Northeast Oklahoma

TULSA, Oklahoma – Wednesday's severe weather in northeast Oklahoma produced two tornadoes, the National Weather Service in Tulsa said Friday.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa said an EF-1 tornado touched down in Delaware County, just south of Bernice, and moved across a portion of Grand Lake Wednesday evening about 6:45 p.m. The tornado produced winds of 100 miles per hour.

The strong winds damaged boats and boat slips at the Southwinds Marina on Grand Lake.  Trailers at the Southwinds RV Park were also damaged.

The other tornado, a EF-0, was confirmed just south of Locust Grove in Mayes County, the National Weather Service said. That tornado touched down about 6:11 p.m. and had winds of at least 80 miles per hour.
