Glenpool Couple Charged In Toddler's Death

GLENPOOL, Oklahoma – Charges were filed Wednesday against a Glenpool couple arrested for the death of a 21-month-old girl last week, court records show.

Records show David Bridgeman, 28, is charged with one count of child abuse murder and one count of child neglect in the death of his neice, 21-month-old Adrianna Hernandez, on May 4, 2011.

Police said the couple was trying to potty train Adrianna and became frustrated when the girl didn't do what they wanted.

Bridgeman told detectives he slammed and hit the child, threw her from bed to bed, then picked her up and threw her on the floor.

Bridgeman's girlfriend, Paula Najar, 21, found the girl unresponsive the next morning.

Najar is charged with one count of child neglect and one count of permitting child abuse.
