Two Green Country Soldiers Home For 'R And R'

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Two Green Country soldiers are back on the Home Front for a little rest and relaxation. Kristyn Ward ran into her family's waiting arms as soon as she got off the plane.

She couldn't talk about her time in Iraq since she works for Army Intelligence as an interrogator, but she said she could barely contain the excitement of being home.

"It feels great. My heart was pounding as soon as the plane touched down on the runway," said Kristyn Ward, interrogator with the U.S. Army.

Specialist James Macalinao is also back home for a little "r and r."

"It's really breathtaking. I really don't know how to say it; there are no words to describe it. It's my third tour, but it's still - it's great every time," he said. 

Spc. Macalinao has been in Afghanistan and is really looking forward to spending time with his wife.
