TULSA, Oklahoma -- Instead of hitting the drive-thru, Blue Cross and Blue Shield employees hits the streets during their lunch hour Wednesday, for National Walk at Lunch day.
Organizers hope the day will encourage everyone to work in a little exercise.
"Get up get moving take a break from their work day out of your desk, just kind of get out there and move around a little bit," Stephanie Brown, Health Promotions Specialist, said.
Employees could stretch their legs on a mile or half-mile loop downtown. Once they made it back at the office there was water, fresh fruit and healthy snacks for everyone to enjoy.
