Flooding Closes Several Eastern Oklahoma Highways

UNDATED – Heavy rains and flooding has prompted the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to close several highways in the eastern part of the state.

As of 9 a.m. Tuesday the following highways are closed:

Mayes County
SH-82 in Spavinaw

Wagoner County
SH-104, north of Haskell

Cherokee County
SH-80, between Ft. Gibson and Hulbert
US-62, east of SH-51
SH-10, north of US-62 (Hanging Rock)

Adair County
SH-59, 7 miles north of Stilwell
US-62, between Proctor and Christie

Sequoyah County
SH-101, west of Short

Okmulgee County
SH-16, west of Beggs

Pittsburg County
SH-31W, near SH-31A
SH-63, between Blanco and Pittsburg
SH-63, from Bache Rd. to Haileyville

ODOT is urging drivers to turn around when they come across water on roadways. Do not attempt to drive through.
