TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa County Commissioners allowed the county-wide burn ban to expire Monday, April 18, 2011.
The burn ban had been in effect for the past two weeks.

County officials say Tulsa County no longer meets the criteria for an extended burn ban due to forecasted rain and wind conditions. In addition, the commissioners surveyed the fire departments across Tulsa County before letting the current ban to expire.
The move allows outdoor charcoal grilling, controlled burns and bonfires.
Right now, only Pawnee, Creek and Delaware counties are the only counties in Eastern Oklahoma under a burn ban.
