New Principal Named For Tulsa School Of Arts And Science

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa's School of Arts and Science will have a new principal effective July 1, 2011.

Liesa Smith was appointed by the TSAS board of directors this week. She will succeed Eric Doss who recently was named the school's new director.

Smith joined the English department at TSAS in 2009 and served as the department chair for the academic year 2010-2011.

She began teaching in 1990 after graduating from The University of Tulsa, where she earned a degree in English, art, and education.

The Tulsa School of Arts and Science was founded in 2001 and is Tulsa's first public charter school for grades 9-12.
