Students at Wickliffe Elementary School in Salina got a lesson in severe weather safety Thursday.

SALINA, Oklahoma -- Students at Wickliffe Elementary School in Salina got a lesson in severe weather safety Thursday.

News On 6 Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer and the News On 6 WARN Team showed students how to stay safe during lightening, tornadoes, and flash flooding.

Students participated in several experiments demonstrating how they can help keep their family safe.

Radar the Weather Dog even showed students how severe weather safety is important for pets too.
