TULSA, Oklahoma -- Another Tulsa neighborhood that could lose its school sounded off Tuesday night about the district's historic overhaul.
Dozens of folks gathered at Walt Whitman Elementary in North Tulsa to discuss how they could save their school.
Whitman is slated to shutdown in all three consolidation proposals. Many in this community say the district could save money without consolidation.
A significant portion of the budget could be saved by going to your home school," one man said.
"Making everybody go to their neighborhood school you would have equal education you would level the playing field," a woman said.
Whitman lost about 140 students last year due to transfers.
