BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma – The city of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma has a new fire chief.
A Change of Command ceremony was held Monday for Jeff VanDolah. He'll lead a group of 137 firefighters.
VanDolah started his career with the Broken Arrow Fire Department in 1984 and also worked for Tulsa's Fire Department.
"I look forward to coming back to Broken Arrow and serving the community in the best way possible," he said. "And I just thought that it was a place that I could help."
VanDolah has extensive experience, plus a doctorate from the University of Tulsa, and has practiced law since the mid 1990's. He's also an instructor for the National Fire Academy and Tulsa Community College.
