TULSA, Oklahoma -- A woman was seriously injured after being ejected from her vehicle in a one-car wreck early Friday morning in west Tulsa. The accident took place on Interstate 244 near West 51st Street South at about 8:35 a.m.

Broken Arrow resident Regina Craig, 32, was going eastbound in the left lane of the highway when she apparently lost control of her Chevy Lumina Z34. The vehicle hit the guardrail then left the highway to the right.

The car came to rest against a fence between the highway and access road, and the driver was ejected about 40 feet onto the service road.

She was taken to the hospital in serious condition with broken bones and internal injuries. Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Tulsa firefighters responded to the wreck.
