TULSA, Oklahoma -- A motorcycle rider who fell 30 feet off a downtown highway bridge early Tuesday morning is listed as "stable" at a Tulsa hospital.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Zachary Adams was riding a Harley Davidson west on I-244 when his bike struck a barrier as he was exiting onto northbound U.S. Highway 75.

Troopers say the force of the impact threw Adams off his bike and over the bridge railing to the highway below.

EMSA transported him to the hospital with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries.

The OHP says Adams was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and speed was a factor leading to the crash.
