TULSA, Oklahoma -- Bounty hunters discovered a working meth lab late Monday night in an apartment at Independence and Harvard during a search for a fugitive.

Tulsa Police say bounty hunters went to pick up 28-year-old Chang Saulsberry for not repaying outstanding bonds in Kay County.

When they saw the meth lab inside, they called police for back-up.

Police say when officers arrived, Saulsberry ran out but was found hiding in another apartment.  Police took Saulsberry and his girlfriend, 20-year-old Alisia Cooke, into custody.

Saulsberry was transported to the Kay County jail and Cooke to the Tulsa County jail.

Tulsa Fire's hazmat unit was called in to clean up the apartment.
