OOLOGAH, Oklahoma -- Thursday marked the one year anniversary of the bacterial meningitis outbreak that killed two students at the Oologah-Talala school district.
Andrew Thomas, 7, and Shuache Moua, 8, died.
Five other students were hospitalized, but survived.
One of them, Jeremiah Mitchell, now 7, had his arms and legs amputated. The first grader began physical therapy this week to improve his balance and strength.
Jeremiah and his family will soon move into a new home, thanks to the generosity of donations from fellow Oklahomans.
