Green Country Soldiers Reunite With Loved Ones

TULSA, Oklahoma – Two Green Country soldiers returned to the homefront Friday.

PFC's Matt Fairchild and Rodney Baxter arrived at Tulsa International Airport.

Matt, 24, hasn't been home in eight months.  His mother, Pam, plans to make the most of their time together. That's because when this break is over, he and Rodney are headed to Afghanistan for a year.

"Very emotional. A little emotional, but I know he's well trained and he'll be fine," Pam Fairchild said.

This tour is especially hard on the family because Matt's cousin was killed serving overseas a few years ago.
