TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa man was arrested by police late Wednesday as he was trying to leave his girlfriend's apartment complex following a domestic incident.
Tulsa Police say officers responded to the complex on the report of a shooting at the Bradford Apartments in the 500 block of East 32nd Street North shortly before 9 p.m.
When they arrived, they spotted the boyfriend, 42-year-old Lee Smith attempting to leave the complex.
He was stopped and arrested.
The girlfriend was located inside an apartment with a gunshot wound to her stomach. She was taken by EMSA to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition.
Smith was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of shooting with intent to kill and public intoxication.
