Car Strikes Road Grader On Tulsa Street

Tulsa Police say the car's driver was extricated by firefighters and taken by EMSA to a Tulsa hospital.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The driver of a northbound car on Tulsa's Riverside Drive struck a southbound road grader shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday.

Tulsa Police say the car's driver was extricated by firefighters and taken by EMSA to a Tulsa hospital. Police say the driver was not seriously injured.

The driver told officers he was northbound at 35 mph when he saw the grader, but could not stop in time.

The crash occurred near 31st and Riverside.

Traffic in both directions on Riverside Drive was stopped while crews cleaned up the wreckage.
