West Tulsa Vacant House Destroyed By Fire

OAKHURST, Oklahoma -- A fire early Thursday morning destroyed a vacant home and damaged two nearby homes.

Oakhurst, Berryhill and Sapulpa firefighters were dispatched to a home on fire at 59th and 71st West Avenue at 1:40 a.m.

By the time firefighters arrived, the home was already considered a total loss.

Firefighters worked instead to keep the fire from spreading to two homes on either side.

The fire melted siding on one of those homes, but caused only minor damage to the mobile home on the other side.

Fire officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation. 

No one was injured.
