TULSA, Oklahoma -- The BOK Center's Winterfest may be long over, but the ice rink is going nowhere fast.
Crews are using sledgehammers to break up the ice. Organizers had hoped the 9,000 square feet rink would just melt away, but last week's arctic blast really slowed things down.
Now time is running out to get 3rd Street back open by Wednesday evening.
Crews said they should be able to move barricades and the rest of the ice during the day Wednesday, just in time to meet their 8 p.m. deadline.
