Concrete Truck Rolls Over On I-44 In Sapulpa

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The driver of a concrete truck overturned the vehicle on a Sapulpa highway at about 8:20 a.m. Saturday morning.

The Rainbow Concrete truck was entering the Turner Turnpike from State Highway 97 near the tollbooth when the driver lost control. He crossed the lanes of the turnpike exit and rolled the truck on the driver's side.

The truck was carrying a full load, but it did not spill on the highway. The driver did not appear to be injured but was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

No other vehicles were involved. The entrance ramp at Highway 97 was closed while emergency workers cleared the accident scene.

Wreckers were able to right the concrete truck without incident.
