MORRIS, Oklahoma -- Some Green Country students are helping their principal through a difficult time right now.
They're cheering on Morris Middle School Principal Greg Large who's battling cancer. He was diagnosed a year and a half ago and has undergone surgery and chemotherapy.
Then, the cancer returned.
The students created posters with words of encouragement to line the halls. They also bought special T-shirts so Mr. Large will know he's not in the fight alone.
"It's just the wow factor of all the kids and the faculty showing their support for the challenges that I've been facing," Large said.
Mr. Large says this surprise really means a lot - just knowing there are so many people standing behind him, praying for his recovery.
The shirt sales raised about $2,000 to help pay for his second round of chemotherapy.
