TULSA, Oklahoma -- Lottery players across the country were hoping to win big Tuesday night.
The winning numbers for the Mega Millions jackpot were 4, 8, 15, 25, 47 and the Mega Ball was 42.
The $355 million Mega Millions jackpot is the second largest in the history of the lottery. If you took the lump sum, after taxes, someone in Oklahoma with the winning numbers would take home $159 million.
"I could do a whole lot with that," said Brian Williams, a lottery player. "God have something in store for me, if I could live like that I wouldn't have to worry about cash for a long time."
The game is similar to Powerball, players try to win by matching five regular numbers plus the "Mega ball." Tickets cost $1.
"It's pretty rare that it gets up this high," Todd Pitts, a Quiktrip Manager, said. "So when it does, it does create a buzz and we get a lot of customers."
Besides the jackpot, prizes range from $2 to $250,000. Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night.
Chris Howell, News On 6: "What would you do with that kind of cash?"
Jo Arnold, Lottery Player: "Travel. I don't know, I really don't know. It's one of those dreams you just don't know about."
The largest Mega Millions jackpot was $390 million in 2007. The prize was shared by two players in Georgia and New Jersey.
