Owasso Homeowner Shoots Suspect In Apparent Home Invasion

OWASSO, Oklahoma -- Owasso Police are investigating a shooting incident in the 9300 block of East 93rd Street North early Friday.

Police say officers at 4:36 a.m. responded to a report of an apparent home invasion at the home in The Lake at Bailey Ranch.

Owasso Police arrived to find 22-year-old Cody Hurst shot twice by the home's owner.

Hurst was taken to a Tulsa hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Owasso Police Captain Tracy Townsend said in a news release that the department has submitted a report to the Tulsa County District Attorney's office for review.

Pending that review, Townsend say no more details will be released.
