TULSA, Oklahoma – The Women in Recovery program is collecting donations for ten women whose group home was destroyed by a fire Tuesday, Family and Children's Services announced Thursday.
None of the women were home when the fire broke out about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon in the 3500 block of South Yale.

The women, part of members of Courage Too, Sober Living for Women, are in need of items such as clothes and toiletries, as well as larger items, like furniture.
"The support the women are providing each other and receiving from the program and partners is keeping them strong and on their continuing road of recovery and change," said Mimi Tarrasch, director of the WIR program. "I'm confident they will actively give back to the Tulsa community after witnessing the true generous spirit of others."
Anyone wishing to donate can drop off donations at the Family and Children's Services office, located at 2325 South Harvard Avenue.
If you would like to donate a larger item, call 991-6200.
Women in Recovery is a program for nonviolent female offenders with alcohol and drug addictions in Tulsa County.
