CLAREMORE, Oklahoma -- Claremore's Police Chief Mickey Perry is ready for retirement after 21 years on the department and 41 years in law enforcement. Mickey Perry started his law enforcement career with Claremore police in 1969. He then worked for years as an undercover narcotics officer for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics before coming back to Claremore as chief.
He's seen a lot of changes over the years, even though some things stay the same.
"The basic part of law enforcement is the same, the good guys chase around the bad guys, but technology has changed how we do those things," said Claremore Police Chief Mickey Perry.
Mickey says he'll miss the people of Claremore but plans to stay active in the community. His last day is January 18th.
