SEQUOYAH COUNTY -- A former eighth-grade computer teacher in Marble City entered a "no contest" plea to raping a 13-year-old male student. Stephanie Diane Harris, 29, pleaded no contest to first degree rape and three counts of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology.

Harris, a Sallisaw resident, sent text messages and nude photos of herself to a then 13-year-old boy, asking him if he wanted to have sex with her, according to the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office.

The sex was consensual, but because the student was under 16 and cannot legally consent to sex, Harris was charged with first degree rape. The teenager contacted the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office in August of 2008.

Sentencing for Harris is set for February 16, 2011.
