BEGGS, Oklahoma – Four kids and two adults are rushed to the hospital after the car they were traveling in ends up in a ditch.
It happened just after 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon on HWY 16 a mile west of Beggs.
Oklahoma State Troopers say a 1978 Chevrolet truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when the front tire blew, causing the driver to lose control.
The truck came to a rest in a creek bed just off the highway.
Troopers say the 5 passengers ranged in age from 11 to 19 and were taken to area hospitals in stable condition.
The driver, 41-year-old Bobby Lampkin, was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
None of the passengers were wearing seatbelts.
