BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -- Ever jokingly sort of wished for something, and then have it appear?
Well, it happened to a Broken Arrow family. As News On 6 reporter Rick Wells found out, it wasn't anything bad, just enough to have them saying "be careful what you wish for."
The Piehlers have a new "kid" in the backyard, a goat named Betsy.
The family said they had just been to the Petting Zoo, and was thinking how neat to have a goat of their own. Now they have one.
But really, where'd it come from?
A little over a week ago Dustin Piehler saw it running in traffic on I-244 and rescued it before it got hit.
"My dad likes to rescue animals," said Tanner Piehler. "It's really cool."
Tanner says it is especially cool having your own goat, and his fourth grade buddies like it too.
"Yeah, they also think its kind of crazy," he said.
Sara said the goat has been a pretty good guest and seems to get along with everyone.
"Loves the neighbor dog, it loves our dogs, kind of follows them around," she said.
She's good with Tanner and Jimmy too, so she might be worth keeping.
News On 6 reporter Rick Wells found the story cruising Craig's List.
If this story has a moral it's be careful what you wish for.
"I'm glad I didn't think it would be cool to have an elephant," Sara said.
Despite Tanner's wish to keep it, the Piehlers know it belongs to someone, and they are still looking for the owners.
