Wreck On Highway 169 In Tulsa Backs Up Traffic For Miles

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A wreck in the southbound lanes of U.S. 169 south of 36th Street North backed up traffic for several miles Friday morning.

Tulsa Police and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said southbound traffic was backed up past   66th Street North near Owasso because of the wreck.  The crash forced police to close both lanes and force traffic onto the shoulder to get around the smashed cars.

Police say the wreck did not cause any serious injuries or even damage to the vehicles, but because of its location it slowed traffic to a crawl.
