TULSA, Oklahoma -- Can coupons be turned into real cash? It works like magic.
Especially when the discount coupon on the back of a Reasor's cash register receipt is offered by a local magician: Brad "Bradini" Evans.
"I actually got a hot idea for you," Bradini said.
Hey, my wallet bursts into flames all the time, doesn't everyone's? I called Bradini because I saw that he was offering discount coupons on the backside of Reasor's Cash register tape.
He said he's only been advertising that way for a short period of time - trying to make something happen.
You can use the coupons to move Bradini books from impossible to possible.
"So it is possible to save money and book shows at the same time," the magician said.
Here's how this coupon thing works: an independent company, RTU - Register Tapes Unlimited - from Houston, Texas finds advertisers and sells them space on the reverse side of Reasor's cash register tapes.
When customers check out, they get their receipt on one side, and take home a bunch of coupons on the other like this one for Bradini.
"People are looking to save money any way they can," said magician Bradini.
And the coupons are probably even more useful in a down economy, almost like cash. Especially when you can work magic.
"Does that look like 500 dollars?" said Bradini."It really doesn't look like 500 dollars does it, but actually what you can do when you use these you can actually turn these pieces of paper into real cash....see one, two, three, four, five hundred dollars."
Wow, coupons into cash just like magic. Guess those coupons really do work.
