OHP Trooper Involved In Sapulpa Crash Dies

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper who was involved in a serious crash Monday died Tuesday afternoon.

According to the OHP, Captain George Green succumbed to his injuries at St. John Hospital at 3:30 p.m.

Troopers say a dump truck slammed into Captain Green on Highway 97 just north of Sapulpa after Green pulled out in front of the truck.

Investigators say it will be 3 or 4 weeks before they're able to collect all of the data they need and download the black boxes from the vehicles involved.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
