KAY COUNTY, Oklahoma -- A Medford teen is dead following a two-car accident in Kay County Friday morning. Noah Gonzalez was a passenger in a pickup driven by another teen, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Fifteen-year-old Ryan Kilian, also of Medford, was driving northbound on Enterprise Road at State Highway 11 just east of Ponca City at about 8:45 a.m. Troopers say he failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the driver's side of 1993 Ford Ranger pickup driven by 38-year-old Brian Dailey of Kaw City, Oklahoma.
Kilian's Mazda pickup rolled a quarter times partially ejecting Gonzalez out the passenger side window and pinning him under the truck. Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene with head and internal injuries.
Kilian was taken by ambulance to a Ponca City hospital where he was treated and released with internal injuries. Daily was admitted in stable condition to a Ponca City hospital with internal and leg injuries.
The trooper's report states that Kilian was in apparently normal condition and that the cause of the collision was driver inattention.
Neither 15-year-old was wearing a seat belt. The trooper did not know if Daily was wearing a seat belt or not.
