UNDATED -- Internet giant Google is recommitting to a mega-data center in Green Country - which could mean new jobs in Mayes County.
Google originally announced it was coming to Pryor back in 2007. But a year later, the search engine postponed its plans, backing off on construction and offering employees transfers.
Now, the company says web traffic is up, and it needs the facility in Pryor up and running.

"Eventually, we plan to employ approximately 100 people, ranging from technology assistants to experienced data center managers," Google announced on its web site.
"We've had an excellent experience in Mayes County so far while building out this $600 million investment and look forward to being a part of the community for many years to come."
Google hopes the data center that was supposed to open in 2009 will now be fully operational by late 2011.
The data center will be located at the MidAmerica Industrial Park in Pryor.
