TULSA, Oklahoma -- This weekend's benefit concert for the Admiral Twin was a big success. Supporters raised more than $17,000 to rebuild the Tulsa landmark--bringing the total to more than $33,000.
Local bands provided the soundtrack for an all-day fundraising festival. Vendors donated their proceeds by selling t-shirts, the original speakers and ashes from the September 3rd fire.
Plans for the new drive-in call for $300-thousand in improvements. Depending on donations, the plans can be scaled back or kept as is.
The drive-in's owners say the focus will now be to find a corporate partner.
