The 'New' Admiral Twin Revealed To Tulsa Crowd

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsans got the first glimpse of the design for the rebuilding of the Admiral Twin Saturday.

The big reveal came at the biggest fundraising event on the grounds of the drive-in. Fundraising coordinator Jon Terry said donations totaled $30,000 going in to Saturday's event.

A concert with several local artists performed. It was scheduled to go on until 11 p.m.

The Admiral Twin burned down on September 3 and the donations immediately poured in. Several more check presentations are planned throughout the day.

The owner needs about $300,000 to rebuild the Admiral Twin. 

The drive-in typically opens for business in March, so construction would need to start in January.
