Jenks Turns Into Art Gallery With 'Art On Main'

JENKS, Oklahoma -- Main Street in Jenks turned into an art gallery Saturday as dozens of artists showcased their work at Art On Main.

Paintings, photography, and sculpture were all on display downtown. Lots of art featured Oklahoma landmarks like a picture of Mount Scott from Southwest Oklahoma by Bixby photographer John Kennington.

Carolyn Littlefield says the show was a great chance to sell her work and meet other local artists. Littlefield is a photographer who was participating in her first art show.

"I enjoy art and I enjoy the camaraderie with the people, and it is amazing how helpful other artists are," she said.

Paintings weren't just limited to the canvas. Face painting was popular with the kids.
