First 'Green' Habitat For Humanity Home Completed In Tulsa

Work is finished on the Habitat for Humanity home out at the fairgrounds. The owners received the keys Friday afternoon.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Work was finished Friday on Tulsa's first "green" Habitat For Humanity home.

The Home Builders Associated of Greater Tulsa started building the home on Monday.  The new home is energy-efficient and has a geo-thermal heat pump and better insulation.

Sixty companies worked on the project.

Crews also remodeled another Habitat For Humanity.  Both homes are energy star certified.
