TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- A Tulsa apartment sustained extensive damage after a car veered off a city street and crashed through a wall.
It happened at the Meadows Apartments near 29th and 115 East Avenue Friday just after 8 a.m. The accident left quite a mess and several citations by police.
It started with a fender bender.
"I was coming around the corner, just like any other normal person and she pulled out and hit me," said Ashley Davis, a witness.
Davis said the other driver kept going straight for an apartment.
"Instead of stopping she just kept on going and went right into the building," she said.
The driver slammed right through the brick building at the apartments, knocking a gaping hole in the building.
No one was inside the apartment at the time of the crash. Neither the driver of the car nor her passengers were injured in the accident.
Davis said there were several children in the crashed car, but she says none of them was wearing a seatbelt or in a child restraint seat.
Police said they haven't determined who was at fault in the fender bender.
The driver of the car that hit the apartment was cited for driving under suspension, no insurance and having an expired tag.
