MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA -- The U.S. Senate has confirmed Mark Green as the 28th United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Green was nominated by President Obama on July 14, 2010 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on September 29, 2010.

According to a news release, Green will lead the office of 12 Assistant U.S. Attorneys and 17 support staff.
Green, 56, returns to the office where he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney from 1978 to 1982.
Since 1983, Green has practiced law in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Green graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors degree in Finance in 1975 and a Juris Doctorate in 1978.
He replaces Sheldon Sperling who was appointed to the job by President Bush in 2001.
