TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- Friends and family held a barbecue birthday bash for a special guest of honor Monday.
Lenora Jenkins is celebrating her 107th birthday. And since she stopped driving when she was one hundred, what better way to arrive than in a limo? Lenora says she reads her Bible every day and has a few simple rules for life.
"Eat right, go to bed when the times comes, don't stay up all night, don't eat trash food, eat your beans and cornbread and greens and cornbread and big onion on the side," she said.
She was married for 65 years and didn't have any children. Lenora says she's outlived all of her insurance policies.
There are two more things she's said have made a difference in how she lives. She says her dad taught her that if you have a dime, only spend a nickel and respect is a top priority, treat others like you want to be treated.
