TULSA, Oklahoma -- Students from the Tulsa area spent the night in the Mardel's Christian Bookstore parking lot to share the experience of orphans worldwide. In "Orphans For A Night," the students carried out their pledge to raise funds and awareness for homeless children.

There were about 160 million orphans in the world in 2009, according to UNICEF, with almost 6,000 new orphans added on a daily basis. The funds raised overnight Saturday will be used to help Ethiopian orphans.

The "Orphans For A Night" experience was sponsored by Go International, a local student driven non-profit organization.
