TULSA, OKLAHOMA – Charges have been filed against a teenager in connection with a deadly convenience store robbery in Tulsa.
Demari Devon Frazier, 15, is charged with first degree murder and attempted robbery in the death of 14-year-old Qualynn Dabney.
Police say Frazier and Dabney entered the Zeba Food Mart in the 500 block of East 56th Street North Thursday, September 16, 2010, and fired several shots into the air from a rifle.
Police say the clerk, identified as Zahid Khan, grabbed a handgun and opened fire, hitting Dabney in the torso. Dabney died at the scene.
Prosecutors aren't saying Frazier killed his friend, but that he's responsible since Dabney died during the commission of a crime.
