Joplin Police Hoping Someone In Oklahoma Will ID Bank Robber

On Thursday, September 16, 2010, the Great Southern Bank at 1232 South Rangeline in Joplin was robbed.

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- Tulsa Police say the Joplin Police Department is asking for help in identifying a bank robbery suspect.

On Thursday, September 16, 2010, the Great Southern Bank at 1232 South Rangeline in Joplin was robbed.

Police say a white male, about 5-foot-9, medium build, wearing a blue New York Mets hat robbed the bank just after 5 p.m.

Police say he had two black eyes and a band aid over his nose.

The suspect displayed a handgun [see picture], jumped over the counter and took an undetermined about of cash.

Great Southern Bank is offering a $10,000 reward.

Tulsa Police say if you recognize the suspect, call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
