TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa church is launching a second location, one that church leaders hope will bridge racial and economic divides.

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in North Tulsa has historically had an African-American background. But Rev. Weldon Tisdale wants to change that with a second church in South Tulsa.

"To see a change, walls begin to be broken down, to see boundaries crossed, to see a community that is a great community and a great city become a greater city," said Rev. Weldon Tisdale, Friendship Church South.

Services at Friendship Church South will start at 10:30 Sunday, September 26, 2010 in the Mabee Center's theater room.
