CREEK COUNTY, OKLAHOMA -- A Kellyville teen remains in a Tulsa hospital after a personal injury accident on a state highway east of Bristow early Wednesday morning.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Dakota Clopton was riding in the bed of a pickup truck at about 4:20 a.m. when the incident happened.
Troopers say the truck was eastbound on state Highway 16 about 5 miles east of Bristow when Clopton stood up to talk with the driver and fell out, head first, hitting the highway.
Clopton was flown by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital where he was admitted in critical condition with numerous injuries.
