OKEMAH, OKLAHOMA -- A teenager was treated at a Tulsa hospital after hitting a barbed wire fence while riding a motorcycle Monday evening.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 14-year-old Jacob Ponder suffered an injury to his neck in the accident, which happened at about 7 p.m.
According to the OHP, Ponder was riding a 2002 Kawasaki dirt bike in a pasture a few miles southwest of Okemah when he hit the fence. The OHP says he was wearing a helmet.
The teen was flown by medical helicopter to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa where he's in good condition.
