BROKEN ARROW, OKLAHOMA -- Construction resumes Friday night on the Broken Arrow Expressway between 193rd East Avenue and 145th East Avenue in Broken Arrow.

The outside lanes of both east- and westbound State Highway 51 will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. through the weekend as APAC Construction continues a milling and overlay project that was delayed for the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The entrance and exit ramps for the highway at Elm Place, 9th Street and Kenosha may be temporarily closed throughout the weekend as well.

All lanes of travel should be open by 6 a.m. Monday, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

Motorists are asked to use caution and watch out for construction workers and vehicles.
