Celebrities To Come Together To 'Stand Up To Cancer'

UNDATED -- Stars from TV, the movies, sports and music will come together this week to "Stand Up To Cancer."

They're taking part in a special, one-hour show devoted to raising money for research. You can see it on Channel 6 Friday night at 8.

According to its website, stars like George Clooney, Renee Zellwegger, Denzel Washington, Katie Couric, Rob Lowe, Gwyneth Paltrow and many more will take part in the telethon.

Since its launch in 2008, the "Stand Up To Cancer" campaign has raised more than $100 million for cancer research.
