Flapjack Fundraiser To Benefit Muskogee Police Department's K-9 Units

MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -- You can eat a hearty breakfast and support The Muskogee Police Department's K-9 Units during a flapjack fundraiser next weekend.

The fundraiser will be held on Saturday, September 11 at the Muskogee Applebee's, 415 West Shawnee. It starts at 7 a.m. and runs until 10 a.m.

Breakfast is $7 per person and includes pancakes and sausage.

The Muskogee Police Department and the Muskogee Chamber of Commerce say they hope to raise awareness to all the good the K-9 officers do for the department, and hope to raise funds for the units. They say the cost of each dog is a very significant amount and there are two dogs that will retire in the next couple of years.
